Aftercare

  • Change the water

Every day or every other day it’s a good idea to refresh the water in your vase. Fresh water will help keep your blooms fresher longer.

  • Remove faded flowers

Once a flower starts to wither away in an arrangement, remove the whole stem from the vase.

  • Recut stems

When you change the water in your vase or every few days, it’s a good idea to give the stems a fresh cut to make sure the flowers are soaking up enough water. This can help extend the vase life of your flowers. There are some exceptions when recutting the stems isn’t a good idea, like narcissus and poppies, which can leak sap causing damage to the rest of the arrangement .

  • Rearrange

Some flowers last longer than others in arrangement. As you remove spent blooms, have some fun and try rearranging the remaining blooms yourself!
